Nichole C. Howard, JD, M.Ed., is a Managing Attorney at Brewster Howard & Associates, PLLC, where she focuses on estate planning, probate and estate administration, and estate and trust litigation. Licensed to practice in Texas since 2018, Nichole has 7 years of legal experience helping families protect their legacies and navigate the complexities of estate and probate matters.

Throughout her career, Nichole has guided families through complex estate disputes, including will contests, trust administration challenges, guardianship proceedings, and disputes among beneficiaries. Her practice encompasses drafting comprehensive estate plans, administering estates through the probate process, and representing clients in litigation when estate and trust disputes arise. Nichole works with families ranging from first-time estate planners establishing foundational documents to multi-generational wealth transfer strategies involving trusts, business succession planning, and asset protection.

What distinguishes Nichole’s approach is her commitment to resolving conflicts through mediation when possible, while maintaining the litigation skills necessary when courtroom advocacy becomes essential. Her dual certifications in Texas Family Mediation (2012) and as a Texas 40-Hour Mediator (2012) enable her to help families resolve estate disputes collaboratively, preserving family relationships while protecting their legal interests. This mediation-first philosophy often results in faster resolutions and reduced costs for clients navigating emotionally charged estate and trust conflicts.

Nichole earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2008, her Master of Education from Lamar University in 2001, and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Midwestern State University in 1999. She is admitted to practice before the State Bar of Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers Rising Stars 2025, Nichole is recognized for her dedication to providing personalized legal service to each client. She is an active member of the Fort Bend County Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, Houston Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section.
